Understanding & Managing ADHD
Understanding & Managing ADHD
Our ADHD coaching blends lived experience with real-life strategies that actually work. We help kids, teens, and adults understand their executive functioning, build routines that stick, and find dopamine in healthier ways. It’s structured, supportive, and way less boring than you’d think.
ADHD Coaching
Living with ADHD is not a failure of discipline. It’s a different brain style that needs a different kind of support — and that’s exactly what we offer.
Our ADHD coaching is built for real life. We work with kids, teens, adults, students, business professionals, and parents who are impacted by ADHD in their day-to-day. Whether you're struggling to manage time, follow through, stay on task, or just keep your head above water, you're not lazy — your brain is just playing by a different set of rules.
In coaching, we take a deep dive into your executive functioning - the foundational skills like time management, motivation, organization, emotion regulation, and working memory. We help you figure out which parts are holding you up most and why. Then we build a toolkit of proactive strategies (habit building, scheduling, dopamine-safe rituals) and reactive ones (what to do when it all falls apart). We’re not here to shame you for missed tasks or messy mornings. We’re here to give you tools that work for you — not your neurotypical cousin’s Pinterest-perfect planner.
The structure of ADHD coaching is different from traditional therapy. We start with a deep-dive intake session (2–3 hours) to map out your unique needs and strengths. From there, we keep things consistent and manageable with short, regular check-ins — either 10 minutes 5 times a week or 30 minutes twice a week. Think of us like your brain’s co-pilot, accountability buddy, and practical problem-solver, all rolled into one.
Our coaches bring lived experience to the table, so we don’t just understand ADHD -we live it. That means no judgement, lots of humour, and a whole lot of “yep, been there too.” You’ll walk away with strategies that are not only useful, but realistic and sustainable.
ADHD coaching at The Hive is designed to help you feel seen, supported, and set up for success — not perfection. Just real progress, in a way that finally makes sense.
