Each practitioner offers Sliding Scale sessions which uses a calculator that takes :client income, family unit size and more into consideration when calculating reduced pricing. Those who are on government assistance, pension or a fixed income are automatically discounted to $50/session.

Intensive ADHD support is offered by Rachel and the fee is decided based on the level of support a clients wants daily and weekly. This is purchased as a package plan. To inquire about Intensive ADHD support please email hello@thehiveyxe.com

Any insurance that is ran on jane, and rejected or denied will be billed using the card (debit or credit) on file and an receipt sent via email.

If and when you have exhausted your benefits, please provide proof and your counsellor will discuss the process of transitioning to a sliding scale until benefits renew, or a new benefit plan is obtained.

Currently we are registered with benefit plans under Telus E-health, Provider Connect (Green shield), NIHB & Victim Services . We are still covered under insurance plans not under these platforms, but billing will not be direct: payment will be made via jane and a receipt emailed to the client for them to submit. Please Note: not all health benefit plans allow mental health practitioners to direct bill- even if they are listed under the above mentioned platforms- to insure counselling is able to be direct billed, please reach out to your plan provider.

NIHB allots 22 counselling sessions a year per status member, they cover the full fee so that no cost is transferred to the client (please review information about no shows down below). In order to use these benefits, your counsellor needs to be a social worker or another NIHB approved mental health practitioner. Prior to commencing counselling our practice needs to apply to NIHB to be approved to offer you services, this is called a prior approval. Counselling cannot take place- and be covered by NIHB- until the prior approval comes through. If you live rurally and do not want virtual sessions, you can contact NIHB about the possibility of transportation as well as food and accommodation funding, so that you can attend in person.
